Cultures In Latin America

The era of expansion of the Latin American culture can broadly be classified into two broad realms that is the High and the popular culture, wherein the high culture talks about the zeniths of artistic expressions such as the literature, the popular culture talks about the dinner for lower appetites such as music, folk art and dance. Its facets are classified by historians such as the Pre - Columbian, European, 19th and 20th century, and the tributaries of Chinese and Korean population mirrored with the unwelcome introduction of African Slaves.

The Latin American culture was heavily drugged by Christianity and Roman Catholic Movements. In the field of arts, which can be compared to that of a humble learner (Latin America), learning from stoic masters such as French, Spanish and Portuguese arts, the learner grew up to develop his own style.

The music and dance of the Latin American population itself is divided into several categories, such as

Wherein the last three were heavily influenced by the African culture brought in by the slaves, the Andean music was prevalent in several countries such as the Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Belize and Guatemala, the Caribbean music was dominant in Caribbean islands, Cuba and Haiti. Being Characterized by its diverse nature the Latin American music is known for its hearty themes, this music also known for its perfect blend with other cultures such as the Spanish and European Baroque and other different African themes.

The revival in the field of music can be contributed to folklore which brought in the true nature of passion among the artists. The Latin Pop is characteristic form of rock which currently presents itself in the guise of Spanish Rock and Roll.

The Latin American didn't fall a lot behind when it comes to the field of dance, particularly their dance and music were so coercive that they were claimed to stress on sexuality, along with the playful and childish movements which were the characteristics of the Spanish dance, this dance was primarily engaged with the person of the opposite sex, and they called it the social dance.

Theatre also paved a way for emotional outlet or release for the minds of the tired people, though it was manipulated by the politics it was also a powerful tool that was used by the higher minds for focusing their thoughts on particular issues.

Finally though considered irrelevant in the current context, it's also however remarkable to note that the Latin American culture was completed by thoughts of cuisine on the developing minds, their major foods and beverages reflected their cultural heritage. It was strong in flavors and brought out intense aroma that is still being relished by younger generations.

It's normally said that what goes in come out, and the wide variety of food, can also be seen in their exotic literatures, on the whole the Latin American art can be compared to that of the well fed lion, reclusive in its cave.
