Paintings in Latin America is marked after the conception of the European settlement that canopied area such as Northern and Southern America, this period was also marked by development of various traded that was dependant on Painting, such as Sculpting, Weaving, Carving, that imbibed a sense of spiritual fervor amongst them. The development was so sporadic that teach parts of the American Continent came up with an indigenous designs and systems when it came to the Art of Painting, thereby impacting its founder the European art itself.
The Mexican and Central American paintings were drawn from religious ferocity, so fuelled by the so called Great Goddess; Archeological excavations have unearthed the Great Goddess mural from the site of Teotihuacan (Mexico). The Latin American Paintings were flavored by the Pictographs of Northern American States specially the present United States of America, this Pictographs budded under the Pueblo culture of 1200 BC, which depicted mankind's sojourn in caves and the hunting of animals. However these artists were considered far more creative and intuitive compared to their counterparts who still favored pottery Paintings, these artists experimented with various concepts of Paintings such as the Sand Paintings, Ledger Art etc. Coming back to the present, the Battle of Sitka played a vital role in shaping the minds of the young artists and this battle ventured forth in many Arts, Books and Paintings, the famous one being the K'alyaan Totem Pole sculpted by Tingit Kiks.adi Clan.
The Caribbean's ceremonious attitude never left them, which is so religiously portrayed at the Rock Petroglyph which is overlain in chalk.
